Previously, Vasmet Oy used a separate CO₂ laser cell and several press brakes in its production. With the Salvagnini S4/P4 line commissioned this summer, the changes in the production process have been significant.
“The lead time for our new products has dropped to one fifth thanks to the new bending geometries made possible by Salvagnini’s automatic panel bender. We can also genuinely optimise and nest our production according to customer orders and offer our customers individual solutions with short delivery times. This is made possible, among other things, by Salvagnini’s surprisingly easy and clear programming tools. Significant savings are also generated by reducing the amount of work in progress to less than one tenth of the previous level,” says Managing Director Jan Vaten.
The latest Salvagnini FMS is in production at Vasmet’s factory in Luhtikylä, in the Lahti region.
