At its world premiere at Finntec, Fredko presented Durma’s imported 3D combination bevel plasma machine, which can be freely programmed to bevel-cut both metal sheets and steel tubes. With a separate drilling unit, threading is also possible. The bevel plasma machines will be delivered to two Metalliset Group factories in Finland and Estonia.
Durma’s combination bevel plasma machine uses the industry’s best components and suppliers for its subassemblies. The plasma source is a 400 A unit supplied by Hypertherm. The control system of the combination plasma machine is produced by the Italian company ESA. Programmable bevel cutting is made possible by a 3D cutting head manufactured by Imatech. Part programming and NC program post-processing are carried out with Lantek software.
The cutting table is 3 × 12 metres, enabling cutting at one end of the table while, at the other end, cut parts are removed and a new metal sheet is loaded. Durma has developed the rotating spindle used in tube cutting, which allows steel tubes up to 6 metres long to be cut with plasma.
Durma is Turkey’s largest manufacturer of press brakes and shears, and one of the largest in Europe. Among Turkish sheet metal machines, Durma has the most extensive reference delivery list in Finland. This is partly due to the fact that Fredko has imported Durma for more than 15 years, longer than any other Turkish manufacturer. This success has been made possible by Durma’s modern manufacturing and the high-quality components used, which ensure a long service life with an excellent price-quality ratio.
In addition, Durma has a broad and continuously developing product range, a good example of which was the first presentation of Durma’s combination bevel plasma machine at Finntec.
