A Wide Range of New Solutions from Fredko’s Manufacturers at Tube & Wire 2024

At Tube & Wire, the world’s leading international exhibition for tube and wire processing, many of Fredko’s manufacturing partners were once again present, showcasing the following new products and demonstration machines at their stands.

New Adige LT12 Fiber Tube Laser

The new LT12 fiber tube laser model for medium and large tube diameters, up to 305 mm, was presented virtually at the exhibition, enhanced with artificial intelligence. Tubes and profiles up to 12.5 metres in length are fed using a chain loading system. The fiber laser resonator has a power output of 5 kW and is equipped with a 3D cutting head. Features include, among others, Active Piercing and Active Scan.

BLM Group Robotic Tube Processing Cell

Making its debut was BLM Group’s automatic cell, combining the world’s fastest fiber tube laser, the LT7, with the fully servo-driven E-Turn tube bender. Special features include bending program selection by scanning a laser-marked Data Matrix code, AGV part transfer from cutting to bending, and All-in-One elongation and springback compensation, enabling dimensionally accurate parts in a single run.

Vertical Tube End-Forming Machine AST8-VE

The fully servo-driven AST8-VE for tube end forming was on display. In this machine, the forming station carousel moves vertically, saving approximately 50% of floor space compared with the horizontal E-Form model, while cycle times are approximately 10% faster. If rotary forming tools are required, the available alternatives are the servo-driven E-Form for diameters up to 50 mm, or the hydraulic AST models for diameters up to 100 mm.

Automatic Wire Bender DH4012

On display at the exhibition was an automatic wire bending machine equipped with two bending heads. The machine uses coil material, straightening and chamfer-cutting the wire to the required length before bending. Pre-cut bar material can also be fed manually into the machine. Programming can be carried out directly from 3D models using the market-leading VGP3D office software, which automatically optimises the best bending cycle. Simulation can be performed in a fully realistic virtual machine environment.

Tube Grinding, Deburring and Polishing Machines

Our Portuguese manufacturing partner offers solutions for surface finishing of flat bars and tubes, including grinding, polishing and deburring.

Special Tube Processing Solutions

Our Swedish manufacturing partner presented tube end-forming machines, special tools and automation solutions.

Heavy-Duty Wire Bender

For bending and cutting thicker wire, up to a maximum diameter of 18 mm, our manufacturing partner OMCG presented its solution. The same machine can also be used to bend smaller tube from coil, up to a maximum size range of 14 × 2 mm.

From Fredko’s sales team, Marko Tuominiemi and Pasi Pitkänen were present from Tuesday to Thursday, April 16–18. See you at the exhibition!
